clint_unruh_dvmDr. Clint Unruh

Dr. Clinton Unruh grew up on a farm and ranch in the panhandle of Texas. He attended Texas A&M University for his undergraduate degree in Animal Science and was accepted into the Veterinary Medical Program at Texas A&M. Upon graduation in 1999, he completed an internship with Littleton Large Animal Clinic in Littleton, Colorado. Upon finishing the internship, he moved to the Colorado Springs area to begin practice. Dr. Unruh and Dr. Greg Brown established Colorado Equine Veterinary Services in the summer of 2003. When time allows, he likes to enjoy outdoor activities with his family.

Dr. Greg Brown was born and raised in southeastern Idaho. After receiving his DVM from Washington State University in Pullman, WA, he practiced in a mixed large animal clinic for 2 years. He soon discovered that he had a greater interest in working with horses. Dr. Brown has been practicing Equine Veterinary Medicine in Colorado for nine years and has been a part of CEVS since its start in 2003. When the opportunity arises, he enjoys team roping, snowboarding, and hunting.

Dr. Issey Chew-Chin

Dr. Issey Chew-Chin joined our practice in June 2021. She is from Massachusetts originally. Horses have always been a passion, and started horse back riding as a child. Since then she graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and then completed an equine internship at Reid & Associates, a private referral practice in Wellington, FL. She continued to work there for another 2 years and obtained a certification in equine acupuncture through the Chi Institute. She then moved to Colorado, where she enjoys hiking in her free time.


johanna_klein_dvmDr. Johanna Klein

Dr. Johanna Klein is originally from Avondale, Colorado, where she grew up on her family’s farm. She has always had an interest in horses and began riding and showing at a young age. She attended veterinary school at the University of Missouri, where she earned both her DVM and MPH degrees. After graduation in 2020, she completed a one-year internship at Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond, Oklahoma, before returning to Mizzou to complete a second internship. She is excited to be back in Colorado, where she enjoys riding her horses and all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.
